What is CMA?
The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (The Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India) was founded in 1944 by the then-British Government of India as a controlled organization governed by the Companies Act to encourage, manage, and improve the cost accounting profession.
The Institute of Cost Accountants of India is India's only formal professional organization and licensing body dedicated solely to cost and management accounting. Our government of India had given the independent statutory authority in 1959 by a special act passes by our parliment
CMA Course Objectives:
Six skill sets must be achieved: Awareness, Comprehension, Implementation, Interpretation, Synthesis, and Assessment.

Fundamentals of Business Mathematics 40%

Eligibility
- Class 10 or Equivalent Pass (minimum criteria for Admission/Registration)
- HSC (10+2) or Equivalent (for appearing CMA-Found Examination)
CUT-OFF DATE FOR ADMISSION TO FOUNDATION COURSE:
a) For June term examination: 31st January of the same calendar year.
b) For December term examination: 31st July of the same calendar year.
- Mode of Registration: Both Manual (Offline) and Online
- Each Paper carries: 100 Marks with 3 Hrs duration.
- Pass Criteria: 40% in each Paper and 50% aggregate in total.
- Medium: English and Hindi.
- Mode of Exam: Pen & Paper Mode – No Negative Marks.
Due to COVID-19, conducted ONLINE till June 2021.
- ASSESSMENT STRATEGY: There will be written examination paper of 3 hours With 60% objective, 40% subjective.
- Admission is valid for: 3 years from the date of admission to Foundation Course.
- Exemption for: All the students eligible for CMA Intermediate Course (given Below in Intermediate Course details.)

- Paper 6: Laws & Ethics (LNE)
- Paper 7: Direct Taxation (DTX)
- Paper 8: Cost Accounting (CAC)

- Paper 9: Operations Management & Strategic Management (OMSM)
- Paper 10: Cost & Management Accounting and Financial Management (CMFM)
- Paper 11: Indirect Taxation (lTX)
- Paper 12: Company Accounts & Audit (CAA)
Eligibility:
- a) CMA Foundation Pass
- b) Graduate of any Discipline (excluding Fine Arts)
- c) Pursuing Engineering Course (having completed 2nd year / Semester IV equivalent) or Qualified Engineers (Papers 6 & 9 are Exempted)
- d) Qualified Foundation Examination conducted by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (Paper wise EXEMPTION is available) @ Inter Level.
- e) Qualified the Intermediate Examination (by whatever name called) conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India eligible to get direct admission to Intermediate Course
- f) Part I Examination of Certificate in Accounting Technicians (CAT) Course of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.
CUT-OFF DATE FOR REGISTRATION TO INTERMEDIATE COURSE:
a) For June term examination: 31st January of the same calendar year
b) For December term examination: 31st July of the same calendar year
- Mode of Registration: Both Manual (Offline) and Online
- Each Paper carries: 100 Marks with 3 Hrs duration.
- Pass Criteria: 40% in each Paper and 50% aggregate in total in each Group or in Both the Groups, if appeared simultaneously.
- Medium: English and Hindi
- Mode of Exam: Pen & Paper Mode; due to COVID-19, it is being conducted Through Online Mode; No Negative Marks anywhere in any Paper.
- The registration is valid for a period of: 7 (seven) years from the date of registration.
